Meet The Directors

LINDA

Linda is a seasoned tea-drinker who enjoys singing along to the crackly sounds of 90’s hits pumping out of her 1997 Nissan Pulsar. Her love for post-it notes and nordic stationary has spurred her curiosity in event planning. Teaming this with her frequent attendance of costume parties, Linda thought that directing O-Week would be a winsome challenge. Commencing her third year of Arts (Media and Communications), she intersperses her studies with frequent trips around Sydney to find macarons in obscure locations. In between classes, Linda has organised events of Epicurean Society, listened in to Tuesday Talks, relaxed on the lawns with Vegetarian Society and, as a lover of all things performing arts, has devoted many a night to watching SUDS productions and Revues. You’ll find Linda prancing around O-Week in an array of crazy costumes, most of which were in her cupboard already.

JOSH

Josh is an easily bored twenty-something who rates Nintendo and GirlTalk. After too many years at uni, having inadvertently majored in the Clubs & Societies program and with the admittedly lofty desire to run Melbourne International Comedy Festival someday, Josh decided that directing O-Week would be the perfect way to spend his summer. Josh started uni with the plan to get his computer science degree, but after too many taurine-fuelled all-nighters and the increasing concern that he was getting RSI, Josh defected from his studies to perform - and he's been kicking around Science Revue, TheatreSports and Project 52 ever since. You'll find Josh in clown colours and hanging around the main stage at O-Week 2012 - looking for an excuse to jump up there himself.
