Joining a Club or Society is a great way to get to know new people who share a similar love or interest. People who will understand even your most obscure passion.
At O-Week 2010, more than 200 C&S tents will spring up all over Eastern Avenue and the front lawns at the University of Sydney, celebrating a new year and more importantly, new people.
There’s a Fishing Society for fish fetishists, a Jazz Society for the Jazz lovers, a poker society for the card sharks, and a huge range of other interests catered for. (Yes, there’s even a club for all you diehard Captain Planet fans). Throughout O-Week they’ll all be offering you the chance to have a look at what they offer, as well as handing out plenty of freebies, munchies, show bags and of course, membership.
There really is something for
everyone and it’s all on show at O-Week. Each club will have their own stall along Eastern Avenue recruit new members. Just present your shiny new Access Card to join, and suddenly you will feel accepted into the University community. Everyone from The Guerrilla Gardeners Society to the Politics Society and SpaceSoc want
you to get involved and join up at O-Week.
